Weekly Astrology Nov 10th – 13th, 2014. This week gives us time to look within ourselves to connect with our desires and our intuition and find answers...

Mercury, the planet associated with the processes of thought and communication, began its journey through the deep Scorpio offering the ability to concentrate our ideas towards the possession of something that will give us satisfaction and longing.

The Universe is intense, sensitive and emotional at the moment with the condensed energy of the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn navigating the deep waters of Scorpio, the Moon in Cancer from Monday 10 November until the early morning of Thursday 13th, and Neptune in Pisces, influencing us to act like sponges absorbing subjectively everything that happens around us. Trivialities bore us and we need to excite our mind our, soul and our relationships...
Mars and Pluto are in Capricorn together stimulating us to work hard and efficiently in order to achieve what we set out to do. Both are challenging Uranus creating a restless energy that drives us to react to what prevents us from moving forward and make decisions based on our desires freely.
Thanks to the exact harmony between Mercury in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces we have the inspiration to channel our fantasies and imagination into something constructive like what writers do. I have taken 3 writers representative of Ibero-American Literature to illustrate the difference in the way of expressing thoughts and emotions according to the energy of their charts with planetary emphasis on the water element: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

·         Pablo Neruda, Chilean writer born on July 12, 1904, under a stellium of planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Neptune) in the sign of Cancer. Who has not been softened by one of his poems? I have copied an excerpt from his poem: I can write the saddest lines tonight: which is a perfect example of his sensitivity and romanticism that makes any reader shudder:
"On nights like this I held her in my arms. I kissed her so many times under the infinite sky. "
·         José Saramago, Portuguese writer born on November 16, 1922, under a harmonic triangle of water formed between the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Scorpio Ascendant in Pisces and Pluto in Cancer. In his writings, psychology can be seen in his novel: All The Names. In which he recounts the portrait of a public officer and at the same time ironically criticises the bureaucracy. It is a novel full of secrets, criminology and research ... issues related to the nature of the sign of Scorpio.
I have copied an excerpt from this novel:
"The dialogue was difficult, with false doors and popping traps at every turn, the smallest slip could have dragged him to a full confession.

·         Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the Colombian writer born on March 6, 1927, under the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter transiting imaginative Pisces in harmony with Pluto in Cancer.

Gabo (nick name) had a magic way to transport us with his writing. I have translated a fragment of his novel One Hundred Years of Solitude: "I saw the clowns doing cartwheels at the tail of the parade, and saw it again the face of his miserable solitude when everything had finished crossing, and nothing left but the luminous space on the street, and the air filled with flying ants, and a few onlookers peering over the precipice of uncertainty.
